Namaste! Our Institute. K J Somaiya Institute of Dharma Studies is celebrating Sanskrit Day on 30th September 2023 and we would like to invite you to grace this occasion.

 an enchanting journey of art, music, dance and Artistic Yoga

 

Date :  Saturday, 30th September 2023

Time: 11.00 AM to 1 PM 

Venue: Govinda, Chanakya Building,  Somaiya Vidyavihar Campus, Mumbai

Special Lecture by Ms. Monalisa Behera, Asst Prof. (Art History), K J Somaiya Institute of Dharma Studies

 on 

Aesthetics of Rāgamālā Paintings  

The lecture will focus on Rāgamālā paintings from the digitised materials of the Somaiya family collection.

The programme also features innovative Sanskrit games, and performances by our students which include a Sanskrit version of selections from the Geet Ramayana, of Hindi and Western songs.

The grand finale will be a Sanskrit version of the traditional Maharashtrian Powada.
