Ancient languages are the window to explore our past. This workshop will provide an unique opportunity to study four ancient Indian languages focusing on their linguistic and grammatical characteristics. Studying these languages together and understanding their interconnectedness equip us to study ancient Indian literature and help to improve our understanding of the past. These languages were the main medium of instruction and include a variety of literary genres. Hence the workshop can be useful for both post-graduate students as well as teachers of languages and culture.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Postgraduate and research students as well as teachers of languages and culture
2. Knowledge of any one ancient language mentioned above is required
Interested candidates can apply for the workshop Participants will be selected based on eligibility criteria and the statement of purpose.Selected participants will be required to pay workshop fees of Rs. 500/-They will be notified within five days from application.At the end of the workshop a certificate of completion will be provided to the participants.
